(This article is at a mid to advance level of technique)
The purpose of this article, is to help you isolate the energy of the Sun and Moon.
Check your own natal chart for comparison. (I use the placidus house system)
It goes without saying; Leo and Aquarius Sun, Moon and Ascendants take center stage.
Mars is within 4° of the Leo Sun. A very assertive placement. You will be driven to act.
Keep in mind, the placement of Mercury. This planet is in a very strong position, because it is DIRECT and placed in Virgo, opposing a weaker retrograde, Neptune in Pisces. The message of this lunar eclipse will be very direct and clear. Neptune is sleeping, lucky for us because,
Leo will want to communicate to Aquarius. (I did not say WITH) Aquarius is a detached sign that can be quite friendly, but has no interest in conforming to Leo's Ego. The Moon in Aquarius is an individual, in its own way. Just not exactly the Leo way. Please see below for more insight. (check the degrees of the Sun and Moon for impact)
It's very important to pay attention, where these Rx planets, are currently with this Lunar eclipse. You will most certainly be returning to any issues at a later date.
The RX planets are a redo of previous circumstances. For Example Saturn, (Do you have any angles or planets at or near 21°, what is the aspect ? Conjunction, Sextile, square, Trine, Opposition) Try to remember what issues you had, when Saturn was at or around 21° Virgo or Gemini, and previous transits of Sagittarius. You will want to compare each planet in the eclipse chart with your own natal, progressed, solar arc chart. (or other combinations of charts you are using) For this Eclipse cycle, many of those previous issues may have made an appearance, around the New Moon of July 23rd 2017, in Leo. (See the Previous New Moon Chart)
In my own opinion, this eclipse cycle is more potent for those of us living in North America along the eclipse path. Take note of the life changing events. Only you know your life history and if you take the time to review your life, the math of astrology will help you discover the answers. (events begin to happen before the aspect is exact, a general rule for eclipse cycles 30 days before or after and when planets make ptolemaic aspects at a later date)
The Fixed signs are located at all 4 angles for this Full Moon Eclipse, (the chart for Chicago) with the help of Mercury, you will understand the message and will know what you need to do. Mars in Leo is ready to act boldly. With so many planets, in retrograde motion, you may run into obstacles, trying to complete the task quickly. So be prepared for some long-term changes. The pace of completion will move slowly, even Pluto is Rx.
This Full Moon Eclipse, is the completion of the last chapter of a very long book
with the chapter title of "ME". It will be about endings.
Just think of that Frank Sinatra Song, "My Way" except Elvis is also performing the number.
You can do this and your Leo voice will remind you everyday that you can. Leo is the Boss or maybe in this case, its Aquarius ? Doing it "My Way" with Rhinestones.
Here are some videos that will help you understand the feel of this.
Please visit the music Video links:
"The King", Elvis Presley, performs "My Way"
"The Chairmen of the Board", Frank Sinatra, performs "My Way"
Yes all of us will be doing our own version of "My Way"
Leo is about one's self and Aquarius is known as a detached humanitarian sign of many.
The individual versus the group. Endings will happen with this eclipse. These endings will make way for the New Moon eclipse on August 21, 2017.
Let's take a look at what the Full Moon eclipse symbolism represents:
From Marc Edmund Jones
Leo 15°, a pageant the symbol of man's constant delight in exhibiting the fruits of his achievement, and of a naiveté dramatized in the world of every day through a very human pride in common works and cooperative accomplishment. The key word is demonstration. When positive, the degree is an irresistible heightening of self-Significance across the whole face of experience, and when negative, unconvincing claims and embarrassing self-assertion.
Aquarius 15°, two love birds sitting on the fence, this is the symbol of nature's delight in exhibiting the fruits of simple self-fulfillment, dramatized most effectively as a natural consummation of a shared richness or tenderness and human personality. The key word is affirmation. When positive, the degree is self-consistency which wins an absolute loyalty and a complete cooperation, and when negative, unreasoning jealousy.
A Full Moon Eclipse is about endings
A lunar eclipse is something we feel on an internal level. With this particular eclipse highlighting the Sun in Leo (Mars within 5° of the Sun) and the Moon in Aquarius.
I tried to really think about how the Moon would make a person feel.
Key of this polarity is personal ego and drive versus individual, humanitarian cooperation.
Personal identity versus relationships with other people
Personal possessions, personal space versus sharing of resources
How we communicate, versus knowledge to expand
Personal security we feel within our home versus greater world advancements
How we express personal love and happiness of an individual creative act verses belonging to a club of like-minded individuals who love the same activity
Every day busy lives verses our need to unwind behind the scenes
