“The Symbolic Components of the Natal Chart Corresponding to the Elements of a Novel or Play."
If you recall way back in your high school sophomore literature class you were taught the elements of a novel or play, at least it was for me in my sophomore class. I liked that class and in it I was taught that every story has seven basic elements: The author, includes his bio. and background in the back pages of his book. The theme of the author's novel gives you his reason for why he is authoring the story, usually in the foreword or introduction of the book. The characters in the story represent all the major and minor players. The mood of the characters describe how the player's roles are expressed, usually in a very descriptive manner. The setting of the novel tells you the location of the story, also in a descriptive manner. The time of the story gives you a period of history when the story takes place. Finally, the plot, which for many is the most important element, tells of the action in the story or the unfolding of events.

Dave Gunning has been a professional astrologer since December of 1981- for just over 44 years now. His consultations include interpretation of the birth chart and one year's look ahead based on the transits, secondary progressions, and solar arc direct. Comparing two charts or synastry, along with teaching students seven levels of astrology is also an important part of his practice. Dave has lectured for the National Council for Geocosmic Research (N.C.G.R.), The Theosophical Society in Wheaton, Illinois, and “Friends of Astrology” in Oak Brook, Illinois, of which he was vice-president for eight years from 1999-2007. Since 2010 Dave has been instructing students and lecturing at the Theosophical Society. He has formed a group there called “Stargazers” which meets on the third Tuesday of the month from 7:00-9:00 pm. His approach in his readings is both psychological and spiritual, pointing out the person's greatest strengths and most difficult challenges. Dave works mostly out of his home in Wheaton, Illinois.
