MAY
2007 to JUNE 2008
Over the upcoming forecast year,
Gemini natives will be contending with many challenging
transits. Right before Pluto in Sagittarius concludes
its long-running opposition to your Sun, Saturn
will enter Virgo which form September 2nd 2007
onward, will ask you to seriously redefine the
way you operate your home and deal with family.
This sobering influence co-mingles with Uranus
in Pisces which has been creating surprises in
your career for some time now. This forecast year
will usher in a period where the tension in between
home and career, public and private will become
more noticeable.
The planet Pluto is nearing the
end of its Sagittarius transit where it has transformed
your way of looking at relationships, and even
if you’ve felt compromised by power struggles
during this period, Pluto has shown you the way
to expose and eliminate toxic patterns that stunt
your growth, both in terms of your creative potential
and with your closest partners. For a man, Pluto
transit opposition to your natal Sun sometimes
makes you feel as though others are challenging
your identity and effectiveness, prompting you
to examine what you can do to improve and get
better results on both sides. For women, attitudes
toward men in general have changed irrevocably.
The Geminis most affected this year are those
born between June 17 and June 21st.
Neptune in Aquarius will continue
transiting in trine to your Sun this year. You
may now be tuning into religions based compassion
and unity. Another possibility is an urge for
travel, perhaps to a place or country from which
you gain spiritual uplift. Whatever the case,
even if the suggestions above seem too exotic,
at the very least you can certainly grow in expressions
of helpfulness and caring to the people closest
to you. Those Geminis born from June 10th to June
15th will be most sensitive to Neptune’s
transit this year.
The planet Uranus is currently
mid-way through its transit of Pisces where it
is forming a stressful square aspect with your
natal Sun in Gemini; new and often upsetting conditions
in your career are now occurring. You may suddenly
feel a need for change and more freedom, especially
where your profession is concerned. While this
can be exhilarating, make sure you don’t
abandon a secure situation for a momentary whim.
On the positive side, this transit gives you the
power to learn new technology, as well as ideas
to totally update your public image. Geminis born
from June 5th through June 13th will be particularly
affected by this energy.
Saturn’s transit through Leo,
where it has been in a supportive sextile to your
Sun, will end on September 2nd with entry into
the sign of Virgo; this placement will bring more
pressure and an increase of responsibility into
your life. Transit Saturn in Leo has helped you
become more organized and practical in the way
you communicate and handle information in your
everyday life. You have certainly found that learning
things in a systematic manner has improved the
way you are able to get your ideas accepted. For
you Geminis who write and teach transit Saturn
in Leo has enabled you to focus and discipline
you creative approach, leading to well-earned
results.
With the Saturn’s entry into
Virgo, much of your attention will shift to matters
relating to home, family, and real estate. Since
this placement of Saturn forms a diffficult square
aspect with your natal Sun in Gemini, you can
expect more pressure in these areas. You will
need to learn how tackle problems with discrimination
and patience -- often challenging for you Gemini
natives! Those of you born between May 21 and
May 29 will be more serious from Saturn’s
influence this forecast year.
Jupiter will be transiting in Sagittarius,
its rulership sign, for the first half of your
forecast year. Jupiter in Sagittarius symbolizes
expansion and will bring opportunities to express
your best talents and reach out for the best life
has to offer, especially in education and travel.
Transit Jupiter in Sagittarius is in an opposition
aspect with your natal Sun in Gemini, so you will
want to avoid extravagance and let ethical principles
guide your actions to find success. Also avoid
sudden and ill-considered travel plans as Jupiter
squares Uranus this year. You will also need to
avoid thinking that you “know it all.”
Keep yourself flexible so you can adjust your
beliefs to fit the facts of the matter, especially
in your closest relationships. Stay in balance!
On December 18th, transit Jupiter
enters Capricorn, where it forms no major aspect
with your natal Sun. Yet in general your desire
will be to grow in the areas of shared resources,
your financial investments, paying debts, and/or
collecting monies owed to you. Jupiter’s
transit of Capricorn may also see you grow (in
a structured way) through an expanded study of
the psychic and occult.
In general your upcoming year will be a busy one,
and while at times it will find you trying to
take on too much in the way of family and other
obligations, there will be enjoyable respite from
this. The best months of this forecast year are
May and June, and March and April: the months
of September and December appear to be more problematic.
You begin your year with Mercury
in your sign from May 21st to the 29th, this transit
will help you to consciously define your creative
goals for the upcoming year. In addition, assisting
all Geminis is transit Mars in Aries from May
16th through May 23rd, a placement in sextile
to your Sun. Active participation in a social
activities will now bring you even closer to personal
fulfillment.
From June 5 to June 23 you may be
a central part of some very dynamic and enjoyable
activities, for during this period transit Venus
in Leo will trine (in succession) Mars, Jupiter,
and Pluto creating a Grand Fire trine. Your natal
Sun in Gemini will “fill in” -- creating
a fortunate Kite pattern, which will favor your
social life in particular. Venus will continue
transiting Leo through July 14, enhancing your
pleasure in all communication and travel. However,
Mercury will retrograde in Cancer for three weeks
starting June 15, and you may wish to re-examine
budgets and your own spending.
Right after Mercury in Cancer turns
direct on July 9, Venus turns retrograde from
July 14 through September 7. In general, Venus
retrograde is a time where we are willing to look
at our values and repair what is not working in
our relationships and/or finances. Initially Venus
will be retrograde in Virgo, and for you Geminis
this may mean that difficult home conditions and
family issues come up for evaluation. This only
lasts until August 7th when Venus slides back
into Leo, signaling a time to improve your connection
with people in your near surroundings, including
siblings and neighbors.
On August 7, transit Mars enters
your home sign of Gemini where it will stay through
September 27. Transit Mars conjoining your natal
Sun at this time gives you a strong need for action,
to get out and do something. Just be careful not
to go overboard, and most importantly, cultivate
patience. Pay extra close attention between August
19 and August 24, when transit Mars will oppose
Jupiter in Sagittarius. Find something constructive
to engage yourself, and avoid losing your temper
with those closest to you. On September 5, transit
Mercury will enter Libra forming a beautiful trine
aspect with your Sun through September 26. A few
days later, transit Venus will turn direct in
Leo, also in harmony with your natal Sun. On a
personal level, these transits are very positive
for creative pursuits, especially those involving
young people.
Between September 16 and September
24 a potentially troublesome opposition will form
between transit Mars in late Gemini and transit
Pluto in Sagittarius. During this week, avoid
angry outbursts or overt power struggles with
others. If tensions do begin to rise, disengage
yourself before you say or do something you will
later regret!
October could also prove to be
problematic; on October 9 transiting Venus joins
Saturn in early Virgo square to your natal Sun.
While you may be very busy fixing things around
the house or with the family, the pitfall is that
you will not feel as though you are getting any
appreciation for all your hard work here. It will
be important for you to keep your spirits up at
least until November 7 when transit Venus enters
Libra – where it will form a beautiful trine
with your natal Sun. Also in this time frame,
transit Mercury will first station retrograde
in Scorpio, only to slide back into Libra on October
23rd, bringing increased activity with children
and young people, or even the revisions of pet
creative projects. Mercury finally turns direct
on November 1 in Libra, in trine to your Gemini
Sun.
On November 8, transit Venus will
enter Libra where again it will be in trine to
your Sun. This is a superb aspect, since now Venus
is in home sign! This placement is excellent for
cultivating relationships (old or new), developing
your artistic bent, or simply having fun with
more cultured pastimes. Through December 5, when
transit Venus enters Scorpio, try to immerse yourself
in activities that bring peace and beauty to your
life. Another, more difficult, planetary event
in November is transit Mars turning stationary-retrograde
in Cancer. While this placement of Mars is in
no direct aspect to your Sun, in general it may
be more important to slow down and avoid over
exerting yourself now, particularly in light of
your stressful outer planet aspects. For Geminis,
Mars in Cancer retrograde affects finances and
cash flow, and it is important not to buy anything
important in haste, but instead control impulsive
spending. Mars retrograde will move through Cancer
until January 1 when it slides back into Gemini
and becomes more relevant to you.
December will be a time of excitement
(or strain) if you have not learned the art of
compromise. The Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto
all line up in Sagittarius to oppose your natal
Sun in Gemini this month. This can have you dealing
with the excesses of partners in some fashion,
with you acting as a stabilizing factor in an
overblown situation. Or, you might want to use
this super Jupiterian transit to stretch your
limits in someway; a close associate may be on
a winning streak and be quite adamant that you
share the experience together! Jupiter will conjoin
Pluto in the final degrees of Sagittarius (Galactic
Center) and the quality of new information coming
to you now is sure to change your perspective
and belief system. The other side to this special
transit is extremism and megalomania, which you
will want to avoid in yourself and in others.
The sobering effect of Saturn stationary-retrograde
in Virgo (in square aspect to your Sun in Gemini)
on December 19th will help you to use restraint
and balance. This Jupiter-Pluto conjunction will
be exact on December 11th with Geminis born June
18th -21st feeling the most powerful effects.
Even once you are past the hectic
holiday season, on January 1st Mars will retrograde
into Gemini, and again be in conjunction with
your natal Sun. This is an important transit once
again involving you later Gemini natives. Your
ability to push important projects forward may
now be frustrated because of faults in the initial
plan or execution. It will be important to re-work
whatever is faulty without feeling frustrated,
angry, or over-working yourself. This Mars retrograde
is made even more intense by the opposition to
Pluto in the last “critical” degree
of Sagittarius! If you know something has run
its course in your life, say your goodbyes. A
new set of challenges await us all with Pluto’s
transit through Capricorn, which begins January
26.
Venus in Sagittarius in opposition
to your Sun from December 30 to January 23 could
also complicate matters by making you feel as
though you are spending too much time and money
just trying to maintain ‘balance’
in your life. However, on January 8 transit Mercury
enters Aquarius where it forms a beautiful trine
aspect with your natal Sun; this is good for clarity
and mental organization, and you can use this
energy to sort out any problems you now face.
Transit Mercury in Aquarius will station retrograde
on January 29, signaling a three-week period when
even more research is necessary before moving
forward.
On January 31 Mars will finally
station direct in Gemini. While at least some
of the delays that have been slowing things down
now begin to advance, you must continue to walk
with a measured pace, at least until February
5th when transit Mercury in Aquarius finally stations
direct. Both Mercury (now direct) and Venus in
Aquarius from February 17 through March 12th will
aid you in directing your attention profitably
toward more expansive goals. Hence, this late
winter period is the best time this forecast year
for you to travel!
By March 4 tranist Mars will have
entered Cancer, and by March 15 both Mercury and
Venus will begin their transit of Pisces. These
two planets in Pisces will enable you to focus
more of your attention on your career, and with
Uranus still in mid-Pisces, help you to define
the stimulus you feel for change in this area.
Try to work on what is most important now, rather
than becoming confused by trying to do too many
things at once.
Early spring is a period that will
find your personal interests focused largely on
the world-at-large; use your intelligence and
problem-solving abilities to help friends and
any organizations with which you participate.
First transit Mercury enters Aries on April 4,
where it forms a lovely sextile aspect with your
natal Sun. This is quickly followed by transit
Venus’ entry into Aries on April 6. As you
get ready to enter a new birthday year, Mercury
will once again return to Gemini on May 3, enhancing
your naturally clear perception. Transit Mars
will enter the sign of Leo will on May 10, and
continue in this sign into your next forecast
year. And for you Geminis, transit Mars in Leo
favors direct and ardent action in all your communication.
As you move into your forecast year
for 2008, Mercury (your ruling planet) will turn
retrograde on May 27. Hence, the majority of Geminis
will have solar returns featuring this placement
which could make 2008 a year of unexpected twists
and reconsideration. Add this to the slower transits
of Saturn and Uranus challenging your natal Sun,
and in 2008 you can look forward to another year
of exciting and significant change!
