To effectively understand the influence of transiting planets,
study the planetary placements in the current year’s ephemeris,
and consider these placements in relationship to your natal chart.
The most important transits are the following:
1. The transit Sun
conjunction, square or opposition natal Mars, Saturn, Uranus,
Neptune and/or Pluto
2. The transit Sun
sextile or trine natal Jupiter and/or Venus
3. Transit Mars
square or opposition natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and/or Mid-heaven
4. Transit Saturn
square or opposition natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and/or Mid-heaven
5. Transit Uranus
square or opposition natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and/or Mid-heaven
6. Transit Neptune
square or opposition natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and/or Mid-heaven
7. Transit Pluto
square or opposition natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant, and/or Mid-heaven
8. Transit Jupiter
Conjunction, trine or sextile to natal Sun, Moon, Ascendant and/or
Midheaven
Lastly consider the Moon transiting natal planets or angles in
the chart. These are very minor transits which are effective for
only a few hours.
How To Consider These Transits
In considering transits to natal planets the “+”
indicates positive or favorable aspects (sextile and trine). The
“-“ indicates stressful transits (square and opposition).
A transiting planet conjunction a natal placement is a focus of
emphasis, and can be considered either “+” or “-“
depending on the natures of the planets involved.”
Mars
“-” While this transit brings energy, it can be
excessive. Avoid quarrels and take no risks or ventures.
“+“ This is an excellent time to venture forth and
take risks; you can accomplish much. Gain can come through men,
especially young men.
Saturn
“-“ This transit brings delays and obstructions;
old people and things can be detrimental.
“+” This is a stabilizing influence. Gain can come
through elders and following the rules.
Uranus
“-“ With this transit the unexpected happens. There
are alternations and disruptions in life. There is a sense of
nervousness due to stress and speed; try to cultivate relaxation.
“+” Gains can come through groups, new ideas or things,
or inventions and progressiveness.
Neptune
“-“ This transit can bring deception, imposition,
mystery and uncertainty.
“+” This energy is inspirational; institutions can
be helpful to the native; gain comes through secret things or
ways.
Jupiter
“-“ Guard against extravagance; there is the possibility
of wasteful spending and over-expansion.
“+” This is exceptionally fortunate energy; gain comes
to the native and this is especially good for investments.
Venus
“-“ This transit is adverse for affection and social
affairs; avoid buying clothes.
“+” This brings mild successes, and is especially
good for feminine influence. This is a peaceful influence, good
for social functions and personal adornment.
Moon
“-“ Avoid public matters; not good for the mother
and/or female relatives.
“+” Good for all public affairs; changes are beneficial.
Women, especially elderly women, bring gainful influence.
