Planets in Houses: Mars in the Seventh House
by
DR. Wm. M. DAVIDSON
If Mars was in the SEVENTH HOUSE at the moment of your birth,
it will affect your life as follows:
Disposition
This inclines you to be somewhat aggressive in dealing with others,
though to some extent this is fate, for it attracts to you people
with whom you have to disagree. You like to debate and challenge
people and are not easily convinced, and you may be disposed to
even deliberately display this belligerent attitude. You like
combat either physically or mentally, and may be naturally attracted
to legal work or to surgery. It tends to exhibitiveness in disposition.
Gainfulness
Gain or loss here is in the business of dealing or negotiating
with others. This can be in agency work, in sales work, or in
legal negotiation. Your every transaction with others personally
is influenced by this, even in a simple act of shopping. You should
learn to discern the Mars people (see below) so you will know
how to avoid or handle them. It is good for balanced, aggressive
action, but undue force will invariably be attended by failure;
where well-aspected it is good for all efforts of personal strength
in combat, wrestling, boxing, tennis, ju-jitsu, and feats of exhibitive
skill, stage dancing and acrobatics.
Things - Circumstances
This influence tends to bring you into circumstances where there
is clash and enmity with others. Try, therefore, to sidestep such
conflicts for they do you no good. Unless well aspected, you are
less likely to succeed in negotiations, dissensions, agreements
of any kind if you try to affect them personally. You do better
by getting things done through a tried and trusted friend or coworker.
You tend to be drawn into litigation, so unless you current cycle
is very favorable, side-step this and affect agreement through
arbitration or agreement rather than through fight. Guard against
being drawn into physical fights. In war, males born thus are
invariably wounded and even taken prisoner. If well aspected,
there is favor for partnership where there is energetic, physical
cooperation as in dancing, acrobatics, fencing, boxing, etc. It
rules skating clubs, drills, balances; artificial teeth, dental
display; military court marital, law courts; high-colored paints
and enamels, acid etching, metal engraving.
Health
This placement tends to functional kidney disturbance through
injuries or inhalation of acrid, pungent substances such as turpentine;
emotional upsets; also to skin troubles through contact with irritant
substances as poison ivy, and to burns due to contact with acid
substances. To a lesser extent it tends to head and eye injuries
inflicted by others. If very adversely aspected you should insure
your sight against damage. In early life you may be subject to
scarlet fever, measles and like eruptive skin conditions.
Marriage
This position tends to much acrimony in marriage, and points
to the need for deliberate avoidance of conflicts or undue discussion
of differences. It can be overcome by always trying to see the
other’s point of view and by seeking harmonious settlement
of differences, for you gain nothing by conflicts and can lose
much. In some signs it threatens the partner physically with accidents
or illness. Troubles in marriage tend to eventuate after the birth
of the second child. Care should be taken in regard to love letters
– differences arise. The second child is contentious and
fractious.
People
This indicates sharp featured, somewhat interfering, curious-minded
individuals. If favorable, enemies easily become friends; if adverse
friends become avowed enemies. It signifies lawyers, dentists,
surgeons and iron workers.
Attunement
The keynote of this influence is that it focuses into your life
people and things which are martial, forceful, combative, disruptive
or irritant. Your secret of transmuting this is to see that all
these martial activities are constructive just as electricity
can heal or hurt, so Mars force can benefit or hurt you. It is
not the force itself but rather the use you make of it. Therefore,
realize that you have a greater than normal force pouring into
you; do not be tempted to use this destructively and drawn into
energy-wanting conditions, but rather seek to be forceful in an
energetic and constructive manner so success and benefits will
arise out of it.
