If Mars was in the SIXTH HOUSE at the moment of your birth, it will affect your life as follows:

Disposition

This position inclines you to be an energetic, active worker, zestful in service and delighting in achievement, and tending to drive yourself too much. There is quite some analyticalness and a tendency to be in disagreement with your co-workers. You are exacting, want perfection, and are inclined to be overly-critical of help. You are much apt to do by hand what you should (or could) do by machine – to work laboriously.

Gainfulness

Gain or loss here is mainly through strife, illness, or accidents. It concerns everything relating to small animals, their needs, food, etc. It pertains to your own hard manual work, and rules everything connected with health, hygiene, nursing, food preparation, and all conditions where there is use of heat and muscular energy. If the work be mental, then it is concerned with conditions that involve analysis, criticism, complaints – also operations where there is cutting, carving, destruction, surgery, dentistry, or veterinary work. It frequently favors gain through massage occupations, also gain (or loss) through labor conflicts and union affairs.

Things - Circumstances

The following are ‘governed’ by this position: coarse clothing, leather or animal hair garments; animal foods; reduction and filtering processes, or heating, or destructive processes generally. Hot peppery foods; meat cutting; animal slaughter; military supplies, tears and repairs to clothing; basket and hand weaving; animal clipping and shearing, and such operations. Also blade sharpening, bacon slicing or shredding machines; combing; animal bites or insect stings; male nurses and young male helpers; scrap; chemicals and detergents; animal enzymes; small parts and accessories generally, especially if sharp and pointed or edged. It tends to difficulties in dealing with pets or troubles through unruly or angry animals.

Health

This tends more to illnesses which result from outside, accidental or environmental factors rather than from organic disease – such as animal bites or stings, and punctures by sharp instruments or cuts by sharp-edged things. You are more than usually susceptible to infections which beget fever and inflammation in you, and so you should study how to prevent and how to deal with this. You need to be careful of foreign matter in food, and of getting infections from hired help.
There may be a functional stimulation of the nervous system through sudden lowering of blood sugar levels; if sudden weakness and unaccountable jitteriness occurs, take immediately some natural sugar. Beware of sharp, pointed things when working and injuries through animals. Guard against acid irritants. There may be a tendency to accidents at cross-road points. Keep your body free from toxins and as alkaline as possible.

Marriage

Here, this will largely operate through the enemies of your partner; troubles he or she incurs on the job to some extent affect your health as it affects the marriage. It begets either much gain, or severe financial loss to the first-born, according to the aspects. The first child tends to act critically.

People

This placement brings hired help that is either extremely energetic, hardworking and beneficial, or those who are disagreeable, unruly and quarrelsome, according to the aspects. You attract young male help easily. Again, according to the aspects, you meet with enmity and underhanded action at the hands of Mars persons – soldiers, surgeons, dentists, lawyers, athletes or roisterers.

Attunement

You need to recognize that your ‘focus of energy’ all lies in the house of service, and that this tends to produce in you an inordinate desire to work or serve. If you attune to the destructive side of Mars then you will be prone to act destructively and work subversively with the inevitable adverse reactions. If you resolve to serve the world with energy and conscientiousness, and seek to achieve through sheer hard work and enthusiasm, then much success can be yours, even though the aspects be adverse.
